Barritz™ always enjoyed the aura of a live show, the energy it brought to the crowd, and how it made him feel inside… so he formed the group The Lacz™.
Being attracted to so many styles of music, and influenced by bands in multiple genres of the musical spectrum, these factors led him to form The Lacz™ and to pursue making and recording live music. Barritz™ incorporated live instruments in the production of his debut album “The Cadillac Man,” but his vision grew greater and his yearning to dig back into the music of the past, how it was presented, and how authentic it was drove his passion to undertake in this challenging endeavor.
Traditionally, hip-hop music, and rap music particularly, do not delve into deeper concepts of love, society and dialogue as much as they do flamboyancy, wealth and animalistic passions; and with The Lacz™, Barritz™ hopes to be able to approach and attack some of these issues not found too often in the craft these days.
The Lacz™ have been working on their self-titled debut album. Alongside it will be Barritz’™ follow-up project, self-titled as well, released as a double-album entitled “Barritz & The Lacz.”
